TASK 10

Task 10

This task is to create a video using Picassa and then upload it to Youtube

If you want to download this programme to create your own videos you can do it in this link!

This video is aimed at students of 4th year of Secondary School.

In this video we can see an introduction of Banksy's art. It can be used to start a reflection upon graffiti considered as art or vandalism. From this video our students will be required to have a little discussion.

After, they can create a video following this topic. But... remember! Our moto: Normal is Boring! So let our students go with the flow and choose any topic they may be more interested in! They can talk about music, films, art...! Anything!

The intention is to make our students express themselves, their own opinion, and know how to defend it!

As usual... Hope you enjoy! =)

TASK 6

TASK 6

Create a video with Animoto

Animoto provides a very easy way to create short videos from selected pictures in which text can be inserted. There is also the possibility of selecting among a wide variety of background music. This is the starting point:

This activity is aimed at 4th ESO students.
They will have to choose a person, or a group of people who are very important in their lives, and say something positive about them giving a reason why they want to say thank you to them.
It can be a person, but also a pet, or whatever they consider it is important for them. (Our moto... Creativity is the key!).

However, this activity can be used in many different ways, such as birthdays, mom's day... etc.

Here you can find my own video. Last year I went to Bulgaria to carry out an EVS (European Voluntary Service). I thank you all the people who was on my way, specially three more girls who shared the same house during the last period of this service.

TASK 4

Task 4

Create an image based speaking activity using VoiceThread

Voicethread gives you the opportunity to integrate pictures, text and your own voice in the development of a creative learning activity. There is an appendix at the end of this document that shows you how to do it.

Whoever wants to use Voicethread, must register and sing in.

I have made one as an example to my students of 1st year of Bachillerato. Here, I read them the famous quote from John Lennon.

Once I show this video to them, they will be required to make one using this application. They can read their favourit poem, or a short tale, or even sing a song if they want, but it has to talk about feelings, since this is the topic of the unit.

This video can be used also as a reflexion, or to generate a debate...  We could also use it for revising different aspects related to grammar or vocabulary, since it offers a great variety of exercises, and any kind of activities!

You can check my own video in the link below:

Hope you enjoy!!

TASK 5

Writing a book with Tar Heel Reader

Tar Heel Reader is  a collection of free, easy-to-read, and accessible books on a wide range of topics. Each book can be speech enabled and accessed using multiple interfaces.

I have decided to create the tale below named "Bye!". This is addressed to students of third year of Secondary School. The goal is to put into practise all past tenses. Students are suppose to create a micro-tale, a very small and original one like the one that I suggest. In case that we desire to have more control over the activity, we could always make them tell us a dream they had recently, or anyother thing.

You can find my tale in this link:

Hope you enjoy it!!!
